Drilling Into AX Detail Directly From The Management Reporter Web Viewer

If you use Management Reporter, then you probably already know that you can drill into the Dynamics AX transactions directly from the Windows based report viewer.  You can also do the same through the web based viewer, which is so much cooler.

Now you can browse through your financial reports on your Surface knowing that you can always get back to your detail at any time.

How To Do It…

In the Management Reporter web client, select the line item that you want to drill into.

A small triangle will appear in the top left hand corner of the cell that will open up a link to Open in Microsoft Dynamics which you can click on.

The Voucher Transactions form will the open within the Dynamics AX client allowing you to drill into the source data.
